How to get there:Travelling by car
Located five miles south of the city centre, Bewleys Hotel Leopardstown is by the entrance to Central Park near Leopardstown Racecourse. The recent M50 southbound extension greatly improves access from the airport and other national routes. Bewleys Hotel Leopardstown is visible as you leave the motorway at junction 14 southbound, sign-posted Dun Loaghaire.Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout and move into the right hand lane, then turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Central Park. Bewleys Hotel Leopardstown is situated on your right hand side.

RARE COMMENT: [and so the rip-off continues.............]
Any apparent lack of organisation for this event was due to accommodation problems. Given that this event is on the weekend of the Football All-Ireland, I booked the hotel, where we have been staying for the last 6 years, at the end of August. I was therefore assumed that everything was ok.I certainly was not expecting the call which I received on Monday 12th telling me that the room rate had gone up from the normal rate of €75 to €120. But then after all, I should have been expecting it, as it is after all the weekend of the All-Ireland football final. Another opportunity for the greed that is permiating certain strands of commercial Ireland to surface and bite off the hand that had helped to feed it. Needless to say I will not be proposing staying there again.

The club had then to set about locating alternative accommodation. Thanks to Alice-Anne Oliver and Clare Healy we are now staying at Bewleys, Leopardstown. Maybe this ill wind blew some good as this looks a far better deal.

Rory
